I remember a time when I let my emotions control me. I was frustrated, impulsive, and constantly reacting to life instead of directing it. One night, after a long day, I told myself I’d wake up early to hit the gym. But when the alarm went off, I hit snooze. And again. And again.

The worst part? I knew what I needed to do, I just didn’t do it.

That moment hit me hard. If I couldn’t control the small things, how could I expect to control the big ones? That’s when I started reading into Stoicism, mental resilience, and it changed everything.

Self-control isn’t about forcing yourself through life. It’s about training your mind to work for you, not against you. It’s about knowing when to push forward, when to let go, and when to stand firm. That’s why I wrote The Art of Self-Control, to give you the tools I wish I had back then.
